Obituary for Yvonne Terrell Bolden (Bolden)
Yvonne Terrell Bolden, 69, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023. She was born February 16, 1954 in Montgomery, AL the daughter of Vernel Fred Bolden and Mary Lou (Caldwell) Bolden.
Yvonne, a dedicated employee, retired from BC Public Schools in Food Service in 2006 after a successful career spanning over ten years. Her true joy in life came from spending precious moments with her beloved family, cherishing each conversation she had while talking on the phone. Yvonne had a lively spirit, finding joy in dancing, seeking excitement at the casino, and bringing laughter to those around her. Known for her compassionate nature, she was always ready to lend a listening ear and offer invaluable, honest advice.
Yvonne was a member of St. Mark’s Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Her unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior defined her life journey. She found solace and strength in her deep connection with God, which guided her every decision and action. Yvonne’s memory will forever be treasured as a beacon of love, support, and genuine connection, inspiring others to embrace life with a zest for laughter and compassion.
She is survived by her daughter, Shemeka Bolden; grandchildren: Taj Harris and London Twyman; special daughter, Kavonna Matthews; special son, Dywayne Johnson; siblings: Donald Bolden, Freda Smith, Dennis Bolden, Vernel (LaVone) Bolden, and Lynette Bolden; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elaine Bolden.
Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 AM with the funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
