Ollie Gene Freeman, 76, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born May 18, 1944, in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Ollie Soles and Ina Simmons. Ollie was then adopted and raised by Mose S. Collins and Eula C. (McDonald) Collins.
Ollie was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She loved spending time with family; especially when it involved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ollie enjoyed fishing and playing the lottery. She will be greatly missed by all.
Ollie is survived by her son: John Henry Freeman III; two sisters: Sylvia McNutt and Evelyn Gregory; two brothers: Leonard Saxton and Tommy Simmons; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ollie Soles and Ina Simmons; adoptive parents: Mose and Eula Collins; one son: Thomas G. Collins: three sisters: Charletta Chetham, Alpha Jean Cousar, and Shirley Ann Simmons; and one brother: Robert Simmons.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021, from 11 AM until Noon at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Noon at the Bachman Funeral Chapel.
Following services a burial will take place at Memorial Park-Sunset Gardens.
Memorial tributes may be made to Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
