April Marie Howard (Graves)

April Marie Howard, 39, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was born September 22, 1981 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of James and Helene (Young) Graves. April graduated from Athens High School in 2000. She lived all of her childhood in Athens. April met James Howard and they united in marriage on September 8, 2001 in Albion, MI. From that marriage they had two children, Dylan and Kaydee Howard, her children were her life. April had been employed by Bronson Battle Creek since 2018. She loved her job and also really enjoyed all of her co-workers. Her hobbies included making floral arrangements, fishing, listening to music, river floats, and entertaining her children and many others. April loved her family and her children, they were her pride and joy. She was known to have many friends and shared many special memories with them that they will hold on to forever.
She is survived by her mother, Helene Graves; husband, James Howard; children: Dylan Howard and Kaydee Howard; sister, Julie Graves; brother, James Graves; grandmother, Eva Young Alexander; extended sister, Marsha Graves; father-in-law, James Howard; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and good friend, James Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Graves; daughter, Skyler Dawn Graves; and her cousin, Anastassia Perkins.
Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Thursday from 1:00-3:00 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at Bachman Funeral Service.
