It is with sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Glennie E. “Bobby” Whitt III. He was born October 24, 1955 in Battle Creek, the son of Glennie and Clara Whitt. Bobby served a brief stint in the U.S Army. He was formally employed by Kellogg Co., Community Mental Health, and the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Bobby loved attending family gatherings, listening to music, and talking.
He is survived by his mother: Clara; sons: Glennie E. Whitt IV, Darnell Green, Jason Hampton, and Collins Whitt; daughters: Yolanda Brown, DeWanda Graham, Leah Winbush, Joy Whitt, and Olivia Whitt. Also surviving are sisters: Carolyn Whitt-Redden, Alice Whitt, Mildred Mann, Gladys Whitt, Marilyn Cooper, Yvonne Lang, Sherri Brown, and Jacqueline Whitt; former wife: Loretta Whitt; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, with one on the way. Special nephews: Derrick Whitt and Kevin Douglas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father: Glennie; sister: Glendora Whitt Edwards; former mother-in-law: DeAnn Harris; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2020 from 12:30-2:30 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with a funeral procession to immediately follow to Ft.
