Obituary

Jordan Anne Wilt, 31 of Battle Creek, MI, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born August 18, 1989 to Thomas Carl Payne and Lisa Payne (Akers).
Jordan graduated from Battle Creek Central in 2007 and then went on to Cosmetology School. She was employed at Firekeepers Casino and previously at Red Lobster.
She is survived by her parents; her husband: Joshua Michael Wilt; her precious dog: Jayda; a brother: Cody Payne (Brie Henderson); a sister: Carmen Davis (Cole); niece: McKenzie; two nephews: Davian and Marqui; maternal grandmother Sandy Adams; paternal grandmother Helen Payne; a very special aunt Pammie and “unc” Gary Andrews. Jordan leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather’s Milton Akers and Carl Payne; and cherished dog Mia.
Jordan loved spending time with her beloved dog Jayda, family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and listening to all types of music. She had many tattoos; each one with a unique story of her life. Jordan was a caring and giving young woman who touched the lives of many. Jordan will be missed by all. As an organ, tissue, and eye donor, Jordan gave the most precious gift anyone could give; the gift of saving the lives of others.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Jordan loved all animals, but was most passionate for Pit Bull dogs. Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation to the Humane Society or ASPCA.

Lisa, my condolences to you and your family (including Bruce). When I came into Red Lobster for dinner I would get a double treat with Jordan as our waitress and you has her back-up. You and Jordan would go back and forth, so it was good entertainment. We would sometimes reminisce about the Urbandale School fun fair. Jordan was a beautiful young lady with a caring heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may the memories of Jordan bring peace to your heart ❤. Some of my favorite memories of Jordan are:

The time in cosmetologist school that she left her little black car (she loved that thing) in neutral on accident and turned it off. And when she went to go to red lobby after school and it wouldn't start and she started freaking out thinking it was broken. Lol. She called her dad or uncle. Before they arrived she realized it wasn't in park. She was very ditzy at times and we always had such a good laugh at her expense, her laughing included of course. ❤️

Another time, her and I drove to Chicago in my car for the Chicago hair show during our cosmetology school days. Once we got to the end of the Michigan exits on the highway, the numbers start all over again in Indiana, but Jordan and I, (having another ditzy moment together this time) thought we were in Chicago already because of the exit numbers. We were puzzled at how we got there so fast, but soon realized the exit numbers changed because the state was different and also the time difference. Haha.

Everyone in school always had fun messing around with her because she was afraid of cotton. I packed her hairdryer with cotton, so when she turned it on, cotton would blow out of the nozzle like a cotton gun. She screamed and we all laughed lol. She was so silly, and it was such an irrational silly fear. 😂

One time she was showing me a new song she really liked (hard-core) and I asked her if she knew the words. She said some of them. And I asked her if she sung along to the parts she didn't know, and she said she growled along with the song lmao.

I wish Jordan and I would have stayed in touch after school. She was such a fun soul. We just went seperate ways, no bad feelings. I would of never snubbed her in public. I enjoyed following her life on Facebook.
- Lisa and family, I am so very sorry, and my words can't possibly mean anything at this point. I can't imagine a less deserving person or family for this to happen to. You all are in my thoughts everyday.💚💚💚
