Amber Elaine Beck, 71, of Battle Creek, formerly of Bellevue, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Glenn Arbor Hospice after a lifelong battle with type one diabetes, which is very underrated, with her family by her side. She was born August 22, 1948 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of David P. and Vivetta (Wine) Gardner. Amber graduated from Bellevue High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. She had worked at the Federal Center in several departments for almost 10 years. Amber went on to continue her education at KCC, graduating with her degree in accounting in 1986. KCC awarded her the Most Outstanding Part-Time Student plaque. Amber married David W. Beck on April 22, 1972 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bellevue. Amber and David had a son Jeffery and as a family they visited Disney World several times and Disney Land once. Amber was a member of “Charlie’s Angels” and made several trips to “The Chapel”.
She is survived by her husband, Dave; son, Jeffery; brother, David C. (Beverly) Gardner; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 30th from 5:00-8:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 12:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
