It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Debbie Sue Woodworth, age 50, announces the passing of our dear wife, sister, step mother, step grandmother, aunt, and friend. Debbie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving and encouraging husband on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at their home in Bellevue, MI.
She was born April 8, 1970 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Terry Manick and Sandra (Smith) Manick.
Debbie graduated in 1989 from Gull Lake High School and from Western Michigan University with a secondary teaching degree.
Debbie was a substitute teacher in Battle Creek for a short time then was a cashier/clerk for the Apple Valley health food store in Battle Creek, MI.
She married Hubert Leon “Lee” Woodworth on July 6, 2014 in Battle Creek, MI.
She is survived by her husband: Hubert Leon "Lee” Woodworth of Bellevue, MI; her mother: Sandra Hassenzahl of Battle Creek, MI; two step daughters: Tracey Peck of Middleville, MI: and Nikki & Richard Roth of Allegan, MI; two step sons: Joshua & Mindy Woodworth of Three Rivers, MI; and Jeremy & Cassie Woodworth of Battle Creek; 19 step grandchildren, a brother: Bruce Manick of Battle Creek, MI.
She was preceded in death by her father: Terry Manick and a daughter: Jessica Norton on June 27, 2018.
She is a member of the Urbandale Seventh Day Adventist church where she was the Head greeter until her health declined, she enjoyed reading and did a lot of walking with her husband.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Urbandale Seventy Day Adventist church when the pandemic restrictions are lifted. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, cremation will be conducted.
