DuWaine Clinton Langs, 86, of Augusta, MI, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Brookdale Battle Creek. He was born June 28, 1933 in Climax, MI the son of Floyd and Ella (Gasser) Langs. He married Patricia Thompson on October 24, 1953 in Bedford, MI. DuWaine served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a full-time farmer that also managed to work for Post Cereals as a Machinist for 43 years before his retirement from Post in 1993. He was a member of the Post 25 Year Club and The American Legion Post #484. DuWaine had a love for the simple things in life; German Shepherd’s, raising Angus cattle and draft horses, auction sales, Case and Farmall Tractors, Chevy dually trucks, driving in the country, and country music. He loved a good party and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Jeffrey (Lori) Langs, Pamela (John) Deyo, Lisa Langs, and Andrew (Andrea) Langs; grandchildren, Steven (Dana Volk) Langs, Elizabeth Langs, Lindsey (Greg) VanDyken, John (Rebecca) Deyo, and Jessica (Jeremiah) Walters; great grandchildren, Silas & Willamina VanDyken and Leighton & Cambrie Walters; sisters, Erdine Bivens, Doris (Albert) Cary, Marilyn Johnson, and JoAnn Pennock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 13th from 5:00-8:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service in Battle Creek, MI. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Jeffery Worden of Hickory Corners Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at the East Hickory Cemetery in Hickory Corners, MI. DuWaine’s family would like to give a special thanks to their Angels at Brookdale Battle Creek and Elara Caring Hospice.
