Condolence: I have just returned from FL and saw the passing of Ilona!
I was pleasured to meet your mom and share some meals with her at the Care Facility. She was always so happy and I loved her little laugh. Her room frig broke and was distraught that she wouldn't have a place for her fruit so within days I got her a new one. She was more than delighted and thankful!

I was honored to have met her and enjoyed hearing some of her family stories!!!

Condolence: We want to extend our deepest sympathy for your loss of Ilona which is the most devastating experience your family will face. At times, the pain of your loss will feel unbearable. Please know that there are friends who care about you and your family during this difficult time. Most importantly the Bible tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. We pray that Jehovah the God of all comfort is with your family during this difficult time of grief.

Condolence: Aunt Ilona has always been close to our family. She was always "there". She & Uncle Harold used to play cards with my mom & Dad often while us kids got to play together at our house or Grandpa's or later Hover Hill. When I was pregnant and Craig was working nites, I spent many hours with her when I stopped in after work. In the summer I floated in the pool with her and Debbie. Later I would pick her up whenever my Mom & I were doing something-lunch, Barn Theatre, going to Concord, etc. When my Mom was at CCMC we always went down to visit her. So many things I remember as well as you-Long Lake, the Cabin, 8th Armored conventions, parties at my house, my Mom & Dad's, Aunt Kate's & Uncle Steve's, Magnottas, cousins reunions, Bedford carnival, no matter what, she was "there". She had a wonderful long life and you all took good care of her. She loved you all and knew you loved her. I'm so sorry I can't be there with you. She was our last matriarch and I shall miss her. Love, Sheri

Condolence: We didn't have the pleasure of knowing Ilona very long...only about 8 months. I met her when my mother was a resident of CCCMF for 3 short months. She was always at breakfast in the dinning room when we'd go in the morning and when we'd come down to breakfast with my Mom she would also make conversation with us. She would tell us about her family and the breakfasts at McGonigals that she went to on Sunday. I remember she forgot one Sunday that it was Sunday and wasn't ready when her son came to get her. She laughed about that as she said in her haste to get ready she put on two different shoes but said no one ever noticed... or if they did they were polite enough not to say anything. After my mother passed in July I continue to go every Tuesday and Thursday to visit the special friends that we made and that certainly included Ilona. She soon moved over to the table that myself and the others occupied. When she got that private room she invited me down to see her "new digs" as she called it. She shared her pictures of her family with me, telling a story about each one. She was so proud of all of you. She also showed me the refrigerate that she received for her 90th birthday...forgetting that I was in the dinning room that Sunday that her family brought the party to her. She had a wonderful sense of humor. My husband loved to tease her. She always waited for him to asked her if she had washed behind her ears that morning. She was just a sweet and precious lady that I will miss so very much. I feel so blessed to have been allowed to share a small portion of her life.
